The Digital Visual Interface is an interface, that is a hardware device capable of transmitting a video signal. It is often found on computers, televisions and video projectors that require high-definition video. Through it the video signal is sent to the monitor in digital form, therefore it tends to be less subject to disturbances than the VGA predecessor.
