BNC connectors are a family of single-pole bayonet connectors used for coaxial cable header. The name of the connector is the initials of Bayonet Neill Concelman, from the names of the two inventors Paul Neill and Carl Concelman, and from the system used for the graft, precisely defined as a bayonet.
